I crave cinnamon rolls on a regular basis. A few weekends ago I whipped up these bites for Saturday breakfast and then continued to gorge myself until I couldn't feel feelings. Delicious.
Cinnamon Roll Bites
1 can cinnamon rolls (with icing)
1/2 cup walnuts
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
Separate dough into 8 rolls. Cut each roll into quarters. Place in a large bowl. Add walnuts. In a smaller bowl mix butter, brown sugar and corn syrup until well blended. Add mix to dough and toss until well coated. Bake in a pie pan for 25 minutes at 350. Microwave icing for 10-15 seconds. Drizzle over warm cinnamon bites.

How many points plus for these puppies??
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I did everything possible to destroy this recipe this morning. I only had a small tube of cinnamon rolls, so I added a small tube of biscuits. I dumped the brown sugar in the bowl and then remembered I was supposed to mix it separately, so I tried to get it back out. Then since I had added the biscuits, I added some more butter and brown sugar. I added corn starch instead of corn syrup, so I tried to get that out. Then I realized I only had dark corn syrup - so I used it anyway. Then when frosting, I accidentally dumped the frosting all on one side, so I had to try and brush it over the entire thing. In spite of my best efforts to destroy it, it turned out great!
