Easy Taco Salad and Bowls

Okay, Okay...so you have all probably made these BUT I LOVE THEM. They are so 
easy and tasty and make the BEST quick meal because you can fill them with just about ANYTHING!

Easy Taco Salad and Bowls
6-8 tortilla shells
Oil (for frying)

Pour oil (deep enough for your shell to fit in as it folds up around the can or jar) in a heavy sauce pan and heat until hot. Place tortilla shell in oil, place a quart jar, filled with water, on top of the center of the shell. The part of your shell that is not weighed down will sort of curl up and making a bowl. Fry for 1- 1 1/2 min or until shell is done. Sprinkle with shredded cheese while still hot. Fill with your favorite toppings...I filled mine with: Ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning, black beans (drained), canned corn (drained), diced tomatoes, shredded cheese and sour cream....Use whatever YOU like to put on your taco....BUT I am going to fix this again and use chicken and avocado....YUM!!

*** HEALTHY version of the shell (Thanks to my dear friend Maylene): Spray the bottom of a microwave safe bowl or cup with pan coating. Turning the cup/bowl upside down (so bottom is facing up) place a tortilla shell on it. Microwave for 1 minute, remove from microwave and let sit for 1 minute then fill your taco bowl with your favorite toppings.
