Sausage and Egg Breakfast Sandwich




We used to make these sandwiches years ago...they were actually referred to
as "Birds in a Nest"...but somehow that just didn't sound appetizing....hence the name change.
I love how quick and fun they are, besides just tasting fabulous! They are a quick
fix for a sandwich to eat on the go or to sit down and enjoy breakfast with the family!

Sausage and Egg Breakfast Sandwich
*no "amounts" are give in this recipe as it is just a matter of "how many your going to make"

Sausage 
eggs
buns
cheese
Shape sausage into round balls, flatten to desired thickness. Using a cup or something 
small and round, cut a hole from the middle of your sausage patty. Place patty in a frying 
pan and cook, flipping to to cook both sides. When patty is done, crack an egg (or beat it first to make a scrambled egg) and place in the hole of the sausage patty. Cook egg until set and almost done, then flip patty. * F you flip your patty/egg too soon the egg will run all over. 

Remove from patty/egg from the pan and top with a slice of pre-sliced
cheese while still hot. Place sandwich on bun....Ta DaH...you have breakfast!
*if you like your sandwiches with condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup etc...) add them.
